Rigger 5.0 available for PDF purchase and print pre-order! Mission coming!

This is the season of peace and joy, but enough about the new Star Wars movie. Let’s talk about giving good news to riggers, whom we love. We have good news–a big book of rigging awesomeness called Rigger 5.0 is currently available for PDF purchase and print pre-order (Battleshop, DriveThru). It’s packed full of rigging goodness–a dozen new aircraft, about two dozen watercraft, more than sixty–sixty!–groundcraft, and about as many drones as groundcraft. Plus new Electronic Warfare uses for riggers, new qualities and life modules, chase rules, modification rules, and so on! Need more info? Check this out:

Premium Rush

Spin your wheels over slick sprawl streets while drifting away from hot pursuit. Fly through narrow canyons ahead of missiles twisting their way after you. Shrink down to insect size to get an eye on places outsiders aren’t supposed to see. These are just some of the ways riggers jack up their seemingly unending adrenaline rush, as they show that the hardest shadowrunners to hit are the ones that stay in motion.

Rigger 5 is the ultimate hot-rod, jet plane, speedboat, and more companion for Shadowrun. With dozens of new vehicles and drones, more detailed rules for vehicle chase and combat, and customization rules, this is a book that every rigger needs to get ahead of the competition and stay there. Get the feel of laying down hot rubber in the cold shadows of the Sixth World and a taste for speed, danger, and a good, clean getaway.

Rigger 5 is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition

But the good news does not stop there! Other good news: To be absolutely clear, we are breaking the rigger curse with this book. In times past, the arrival of a rigger book was closely followed by a new edition of Shadowrun. This is not happening this time around. We have not started even preliminary discussions about a sixth edition of Shadowrun. We have made a two-year schedule, and no sixth edition appears on it. So rest easy, riggers! Hit the accelerator, jump in, and get ready for a nice, long ride!

And one more piece of good news–a new Mission is on the way! Watch this space for more news!

We have so many wonderful Shadowrun offerings to brighten your fall! All sorts of shadowy deeds are waiting to be committed with the resources from three–three!–new books that are available now!

First up is Hard Targets, a Deep Shadows book focused on the sometimes-unpleasant job of wetwork. It’s out now in a PDF version and available for print pre-order (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG) Whether you’re a runner looking to get into the assassination biz, a team taking a job to stop an assassin, or someone who has a contract on their head and people out looking to colelct, this book is full of information you need to know, including tips and tools for people in the trade. It also has a detailed look at the city of Havana in the Caribbean League, where all sorts of wetwork jobs are going down. Here’s the full description:

The Cloak of Death

It’s thick. Luxurious. Concealing. The cloak of death will make you feared, envied, and maybe even wealthy. It will also smother your soul. The best assassins in the Sixth World can gain untold wealth and make the whole world shake, but they also will be hunted and stalked until the end of their days. Assuming their conscience doesn’t eat them alive.

Hard Targets is a shadowrunner’s guide to bringing death, with information on getting into wetwork, tactics for doing the job, and critical gear. It also contains plot details and adventure hooks, including an in-depth look at the city of Havana in the Caribbean League, a political and criminal hotspot that lends itself to all sorts of wetwork jobs. Next up is a compilation of adventures called Boundless Mercy, also available for PDF purchase and print pre-order (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG). I make a habit of asking players and gamemasters at the big summer convention which of the Missions that were run at the convention were the most fun. And a few years back, the same group of Missions kept coming up–the series that has now been collected in this book. With an ongoing plotline, the adventures in this book can form a campaign, or they can be run individually and interspersed with other plotlines. However you decide to use it, fun awaits! Here’s more info:

The Hunt is On

Elizabeth Nunn, a delightful woman who happens to have an odd habit of hanging out in hospitals and abandoned churches, has a grudge. A deep grudge. The kind of grudge that requires professional help to work out, and we’re not talking about a psychotherapist. She needs shadowrunners, and if they’re willing to take on the job, they’ll encounter fierce gangers, wild critters, and members of a secret magical society who fiercely guard their secrets. If the runners can survive, they can find out just what Nunn is mad about—and how far she is willing to go for her revenge.

Boundless Mercy is a series of Shadowrun Missions that were first run at major conventions. Featuring four linked adventures with complete game information, this book offers plenty of resources for gamemasters—and some steep challenges for players.

Boundless Mercy is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition.

And finally we have the last book in the Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation series. The most recent book in that series, Butte, contained an overview of that multi-level city, and now we have a PDF adventure called Counting Coup (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG) that brings you to Butte and other locations in the Sioux Nation on a challenging mission. Here’s the rundown:

Running Into Danger

Illegally entering the Sioux Nation is hard. So is crossing the Sioux National Police. Doing both? That will earn you a good payday or a bullet in the head. But that’s the job that’s been offered. And what shadowrunner worth their mettle can resist the chance to make some powerful friends and even more powerful enemies?

Mika, a shadowrunner active on JackPoint, is hiring, and players have a great chance to make a pile of nuyen while showing just how much skill they have. They’ll have to move fast, stay alert, and make sure they hit whatever they’re aiming at. Just like they always do.

Counting Coup is an adventure set in the Sioux Nation and part of the Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation series. It makes a great tie-in to that series, especially the Butte book, but it can also be used on its own. Counting Coup is compatible with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition.

That should be plenty of fun to keep your Shadowrun game moving. Enjoy!

Continue exploring the Sioux Nation with Butte ebook and new fiction!

Our ebook explorations of the Sioux Nation are moving ahead with two new books (one a bit newer than the other). The newest one provides a look at the shadowy goings-on in the city of Butte, and it goes by the easy-to-remember title of Butte (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG). With intrigue diving down to dozens of meters below the earth’s surface, Butte has a lot going on for adventurous shadowrunners. Check out the details:

Dangers Below

One of the tricks of shadowrunning in the Sioux Nation is keeping your eye on the things you can’t see. It’s not just the spirits and the unseen magical beings of the world—though that’s part of it—but the dangers underground. The poisons seeping into the earth from abandoned mines, and the vast complex that has been built underground, out of sight of the rest of the population. A spot where money flows and the sun never shines—what more could shadowrunners want?

Butte is an addition to the Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation series, detailing a new location for Shadowrun players, with character info, locations, background stats, and other game resources to bring exciting twists into your game. Dive into the unique shadows of the Sioux Nation and make sure you stay out of sight of the hidden dangers!

Butte can be used with the other Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation books or all on its use, and is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition.

Also, make sure you check out the new short fiction from Shadowrun novel author R.L. King, who wrote Borrowed Time. It’s called Wolf and Buffalo (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG, Amazon), and it takes you into the intrigue and deep traditions of Sioux Nation residents. Need more details? Read on:

Waking Spirits

The Sixth World doesn’t give people much time to grow up. Whoever you are, wherever you live, there’s going to come a time when the world is going to throw you some serious curveballs, and if all you can do is bitch and moan about how you’re not ready for what’s coming your way, you’re not going to last long. Get strong, grow up, and figure out how to survive—that’s what everyone else has done. Except for those lying two meters underground.

One of those tests is about to hit Lena, a young woman living in the Sioux Nation. She’s going to learn a lot about how life in the Sixth World works, and just how far people will go to get what they want, but before she can process any of that, she is going to have to survive criminals, smugglers, and worse. She doesn’t have much to help her, except for some new powers she does not understand. Using them, and drawing on some unexpected allies, is the only way she will live out the day.

Wolf and Buffalo is original short fiction for Shadowrun, Fifth Edition, and part of the Shadows in Focus: Sioux Nation collection of books—though you don’t need to read anything else to enjoy the story!

Chrome Flesh now available for PDF purchase and print pre-order!

The Sixth World is, of course, a horribly dystopian place, but it also is a place where people face the wondrous possibilities of making entirely new versions of themselves. Any part of the metahuman body can be replaced, and the new augmentations sourcebook Chrome Flesh (Battleshop, DriveThruRPG) is your guide to all the possibilities. With cyberware, bioware, nanotech, genetech, and a host of new chemicals, this book gives runners dozens of ways to amp up their game–and see just how much of their humanity they’re willing to fritter away. It also comes with full tables listing all Shadowrun, Fifth Edition augmentations to this point! Here’s more info:

The Edge of the Possible

Shadowrunners cannot be limited by what their bodies can—or cannot—do. They have to do more, stretch farther, surpass any limits, and accomplish the impossible. Some runners can rely on magic; for everyone else, there are augmentations. From shiny chrome that makes your body into a humanoid semi-truck to genetech that alters you at the most fundamental level to drugs and chemicals that give you a quick and dirty boost, Chrome Flesh provides dozens of new ways to alter Shadowrun characters and make them better, stronger, faster, and altogether readier to kick ass and take names on the streets.

Along with the gear and a compiled table of all cyberware, bioware, genetech, and nanotech currently available in Shadowrun, Fifth Edition, Chrome Flesh covers how runners break down and what resources can help fix them up, and where augmentation tech might go in the future. It’s paydata every shadowrunner needs if they want to overcome everything the Sixth World is going to throw at them.

Chrome Flesh is for use with Shadowrun, Fifth Edition.
